     Football Game

click here to log in.West tops East 15 - 13 at the HEB High School All-Star Football Game on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at the Gustafson Stadium. Adam Rohach from the East team recovered a fumble late in the game and ran 92 yards for a touchdown but the West team managed to hold the lead and win the game. Over 80 players from fifty one area high schools were represented in the 2008 game. The game featured the finest senior football players in the San Antonio area. College scouts attended the game and talked to many of the players after the game and offered scholarships.

San Antonio Time Warner will have the game on digital On Demand channel 988.

The game is conducted jointly by the Kids Sports Network and the Olmos Kiwanis Club. Proceeds from the game benefit the nonprofit programs of the Kids Sports Network and youth charities of the Olmos Kiwanis Club. As many as 15 participants annually receive scholarship offers from college and university recruiters as a result of playing in the game. Over the past 29 years an estimated $5.5 million in scholarship offers have been made to players and over $600,000 has been raised for various San Antonio youth charities. »more
